Life 101: Parenting in the 21st Century

7:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Are you interested in learning more about parenting and to better understand your children? This session of Life 101 discusses how parenting is different than it was 20 years ago. With the pandemic, parents had to readjust their behavior and how they supported their children. Children have also changed. Their needs and demands may be different than they were when you were a child. If you are interested in learning more about your children's technology exposure and what they are doing on their phones and computers and how to have hard conversations with your children, this session may be for you. The session will include four classes. You can register for them all or just what you are most interested in. The classes will include a discussion session at the end.

Class 1: How is parenting different? Parenting Styles and how they affect your children

Class 2: Understanding the apps that your children are using and the language that goes along with them

Class 3: Talking about puberty and intimacy

Class 4: Technology addiction and managing screen time
