Would you like to provide your input on the question of how elections should be conducted in this community, state, and nation?
The National Issues Forums Institute (NIFI), in partnership with the Kettering Foundation, is currently conducting forums to allow citizens to share their views on this question and to hear what others have to say. The Pleasant Ridge Branch will be hosting a forum on Tuesday, September 21st at 6:00pm. The forum will last about one and one-half hours. This will be an in-person event. Social distancing will be observed and mask wearing in encouraged.
After you have registered for the forum, you will be provided a guide entitled ELECTIONS: HOW SHOULD WE ENCOURAGE AND SAFEGUARD VOTING? that describes the issue and provides three options that might be pursued. The forum will be led by a non-partisan moderator who will direct the discussion. After the three options have been reviewed, each participant will be asked to complete a questionnaire that indicates the conclusions they have reached. This input will be part of a national study that is underway.
