Library Movie Night: Trial By Fire

5:30 PM – 7:30 PM
Mt. Washington

Description

As a tie-in to our Mary S. Stern Lecture author series, Mt. Washington Library presents the film: "Trial by Fire."
Set in Texas, this true-life story (written by Stern Lecture author David Grann) follows a penniless ex-criminal and father who is accused of murdering his three children by arson in 1992. Sentenced to death, the father's only ally is a single mom from Houston who fights endlessly for his cause throughout his imprisonment. Attempting to get the state to release evidence to support his innocence, the ally may be too late to prove his innocence.
Space is limited and registration is recommended.

Later this year, please join us for the Mary S. Stern Lecture Series with David Grann on September 25, 2024, at the Aronoff Center for the Arts: CHPL.org/stern.

David Grann is an award-winning New Yorker writer and the bestselling author of titles including Killers of the Flower Moon and The Wager. Read more about Grann: CHPL.org/stern.
