Sharing Stories: Clifton History Shoe Box

3:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Clifton

Description

Join us at the Clifton Branch Library to tell us a short story about Clifton. Share stories about friendships, people, businesses, family, art, cultural history - or just what makes Clifton special to you, or significant to history. Share artifacts that illustrate your story – photos, maps, art, documents.

You can share your tale in writing, or library staff and community members can record your audio or video. These stories, plus scanned copies of pictures and documents, will be digitally archived by the library.

Reserve limited interview spots and/or get a head start by filling out Clifton History Shoe Box's Google form at tinyurl.com/4nvmeaxb

Please call or email if you are interested but cannot make it to the library on Nov. 30. We can schedule oral history interviews for other times.

Stumped for what you might share? Here are some examples (could be photos, drawings, your own reminiscences, or papers you have from a relative):

  • Seeing your first concert at the Ludlow Garage
  • Meeting a celebrity on Ludlow Ave.
  • Living with three generations in one Clifton house
  • Playing spotlight tag with all the kids on your street
