Description

April 21st marks the 10th anniversary of the late artist Prince’s passing. Let’s celebrate this brilliant Midwestern juggernaut by exploring Prince’s Minneapolis roots, his early music career through superstardom, and his revolutionary fight for the fair treatment of artists in the music industry. We’ll also delve into Prince’s activism: from taking care of ailing mentors’ hospital bills, to helping preserve an historic library in Kentucky, his protest music, and other forms of philanthropy.

Our guide to everything Prince, Devin Parrish, will prompt participants to take inspiration from his extraordinary life using with whatever resources are available to you, starting with public libraries!
